Coach Mike Judge has produced one of his best groups of throwers this season. Zack Hunter (Marietta, GA) leads the way with the national lead on the boy's side. His throw of 67'02.75" put him more than a foot ahead of his teammate Andrew Hackney (Brookwood, Snellville, GA). Emily Sanders (Sequoyah, Canton, GA) also leads the girl's side. Overall Georgia has the top three boy's marks and three of the top four girl's marks.
Perhaps the biggest news coming from the group is that out the outstanding your throwers. This previous weekend saw two national freshman records fall at the Clemson Throws Fest. Wes Wright (Marietta, GA) officially broke the record and still has another mark more than a foot past the record that does not meet the criteria for certification as a record. Allison Horner also broke the girl's record although Arianna Lugo has a mark that also does not meet the criteria.
