At the Mountain T's Invitational in Flagstaff, Arizona Freshman Arianna Lugo (Los Altos, Hacienda Heights, CA) broke the national Freshman class record with a new personal best toss of 44'08.25". The previous record was set earlier this season by Allison Horner (Lovett, Marietta, GA). Also this weekend were some other major improvements. Brendan Lodge (Bishop Hendricken, Warwick, RI) took over the boy's national lead with a throw of 71'05.50". In Georgia, Emily Sanders (Sequoyah, Canton, GA) threw 53'03.50" to tie with Tara Cooper (Logan Elm, Circleville, OH) for the girl's national lead.
