John Freeman (Bishop Hendricken, Warwick, RI) tossed a personal best this weekend to take home the Nike Indoor Nationals title. He best throw landed more than three feet over his personal best at 72'06.75". Alex Pessala (Chaminade, Mineola, NY) also threw an impresive best to place second. Matt Maloney (LaSalle Academy, Providence, RI) entered the meet the the best mark and also broke 70' to place third. Tara Cooper (Logan Elm, Circleville, OH) was just as impressive in winning the women's title. Cooper threw a personal best last weekend only to be overshadowed by Kim Williams' (Alexander, Douglasville, GA) big personal best. This weekend was all Cooper as she threw a new best of almost three feet. Cooper led the competition from the second round and improved by three feet in the final round to get to 56'02.00". Megan Maloney (LaSalle Academy, Providence, RI) was second at 52'06.00".
Also this weekend was the National Scholastic Indoor Championships held in New York City. Walter Henning (St. Anthony's, South Huntington, NY) was able to leave victorious in a close competition. He won by a little more than a foot over Brendan Lodge (Bishop Hendricken, Warwick, RI) and Alex Pessala (Chaminade, Mineola, NY) , who were within one inch of each other. Kim Williams (Alexander, Douglasville, GA) won an even closer women's competition. She had the same distance of Emily Bernhardt (Lassiter, Marietta, GA), but won because she had a better second throw. Megan Maloney (LaSalle Academy, Providence, RI) was less than a foot behind in third place.

Official results have been changed. The reported 15.74m was in fact
