Junior Craige Pearce (Woonsocket, RI) improved several inches over the past week to become the fourth male this season to break 70 feet. He continues to hold the fourth position on the performance list. Michael Zajac (E.C. Glass, Lynchburg, VA) also made his season debut last weekend and sits in sixth with a best of 66'02.00".
There were fewer improvements on the girl's list. The most signifigant improvement was by eight-grader Patrice Gates (Villa Rica Middle School, GA) who improved to a remarkable 47'08.00" at the MLK meet in Georgia.
