Lauren Chambers (Kell, Marietta, GA) broke her national freshman class record again over the weekend. Kell, Marietta, GA at the Throws Fest 5 hosted by Clemson University on Sunday, she improved her indoor best to 46'03.25". That mark exceeds her previous record by two inches. Chambers has a better mark this season, however, it is not eligible for record consideration as it was thrown at an outdoor competition that was not part of an indoor meet.
Also over the weekend, Sarah Cardinal (Blackfoot, ID) threw at her first meet of the season. She nearly broke 50 feet and threw a personal best of 49'11.50" and has the fourth best mark in the nation this season. Also improving this week was Casey Kraychir (Twentynine Palms, CA). The eight-grader improved her best by four inches.
