Walter Henning (St. Anthony's, South Huntington, NY) leads the list of improvements in this weeks update to the national performance list. However, it is also notable that eight grade Patrice Gates (Villa Rica Middle School, GA) moved up to sixth on the girl's list with her new personal best of 50'05.50" at the National Scholastic Indoor Championships. En route to a fourth place, Gates likely had the first throw ever by an eight grader over 50 feet (no official records are kept of middle school records).
