Seniors Greg Davis (Star's Mill, Peachtree City, GA) and Cody Cox (Lovett, Atlanta, GA) became the newest members of this seasons 200' club. However, few other boys improved this week as few competitions took place.
The girls, however, saw more improvement. Senior Gabby Midles took second place at the USATF Junior Championships to move up to second nationally this season with a new best of 173'07". Senior Sharla Adeduro (Kell, Marietta, GA) also improved to move into the top five.
0There were also significant improvements in the boy's 6kg performance list. The USATF Junior National Championships, which took place last weekend, uses this rarely contested implement. Several athletes threw it for the first time this season and many improved on their best. Walter Henning (St. Anthony's, South Huntington, NY), the event's champion, set a new national record with the implement.
