There were lots of improvements on this week's national performance list. Several large meets took place over the weekend, producing many personal bests on both the boys and girls lists. Dominic Filiano (Lebanon, NH) moved up to fourth with his winning throw at the Dartmouth Relays (results here). Melissa Kurzdorfer (Lancaster, NY) also won the Dartmouth Relays high school competition, but made bigger headlines with her 60'02.00" throw to win the open division on Sunday (results here). Angela Onye (Classical, Providence, RI) also moved up in the top 10 with her win at the Rhody Classic (results here).
Several of the top boy's also threw the heavier 35-pound weight over the weekend. Alec Faldermeyer (Minisink Valley, Slate Hill, NY) threw a personal best of 63'03.25" to take the national lead in his first competition of the season (result here).
