Louisville junior D'Ana McCarty has led the NCAA for most of the year.  McCarty surprised many by winning the NCAA indoor title last month.  But after suffering an early loss to teammate Jere' Summers (Louisville), McCarty has been unstoppable.  She has won five straight meets and improved her personal best nearly two feet beyond last year.  In her last three competitions, her worst result is still 22.34m.  This past weekend she won the Big East Conference title with a new personal best of 22.56m, a performance that is the second best in the world this year and earns her this week's CollegeHammer.com Athlete of the Week honor.
