One of the world's most successful hammer coaches past away this weekend.  Pal Nemeth died on Friday and was best known as the coach of the famous Dobo Se track club in Szombathely, Hungary.  Among the many athletes coached by Nemeth were European champion Tibor Gécsek and, more recently, Olympic medalist Krisztian Pars.  I had a chance to work with Nemeth for a short time in 2004 and he was a very kind and helpful coach to any athlete that was interested in the hammer throw.  Here is a short IAAF article on his death.
