D'Ana McCarty (Lousiville) followed up her impressive PR from last weekend with a near PR this weekend. McCarty showed off her consistency and was just 2cm off of her personal best. Her teammate Jere' Summers (Louisiville) threw a personal best for the second straight weekend, this time launching a throw of 21.60m. There were few improvements on the men's side. Walter Henning (LSU) defeated defending champion Jason Lewis (Arizona State) at the Tyson Invitational, but both throwers were beneath their bests. Jason Stomps (Hillsdale) came within inches of his D2-leading mark from last week, throwing 21.36m for one of the top weekend marks in the nation for all divisions.
