Weight Throw Fields Announced for NCAA Championships
Published by
The fields for this year's NCAA Division I Indoor Championships were announced on Monday evening. The number of athletes invited to this year's competition remains relatively unchanged; 31 athletes were invited last year (14 men, 17 women) and 32 were invited this year (15 men, 17 women). The last athletes accepted into the meet were Stacey Wannemacher (Purdue) and Michael Lauro (LSU). Both Wannemacher and Lauro are both likely thankful for their clutch last-chance PRs over the weekend that put them in a position to qualify. The University of Arkansas will host the meet with the women competing on Friday and the men on Saturday. Stay tuned to CollegeHammer.com this week for a preview of each competition, results, and post-race commentary. The fields for the Division II and Division III championships were announced. Both feature deep fields that will also be previewed this week on CollegeHammer.com.
